		<description><![CDATA[The Basilica Cistern is the largest one that lie in city of Istanbul. It is built by the emperor I. Justinianus ( 527-576) with the aim of providing water around the city walls of it. The need of water was supplied by the Belgrad Forest . Now, the traces of variation in water level of Cistern can be easily seen on the walls. The cistern located 500 feet southwest of the Hagia Sophia on the historical peninsula of Sarayburnu. During in a study in 1984, there were found  Medusa column bases.]]></description>
