Ishak Pasha Palace (in Ağrı)


Ishak Pasha palace is located at the easternmost point of Turkey, at Doğubeyazıt, Ağrı. It is an Ottoman-time palace built between 1685-1785 by local rulers (“bey”s). It is a great representer of 18th century Ottoman architecture and an important structure for art history.

Aspendos Theatre (in Antalya)

Aspendos is an ancient Greco-Roman city close to Antalya. It was founded at around 1000 B.C. Today, the theatre survives and open to visits. It is in good condition and hosts Aspendos International Opera and Ballet annually.
It is a 48 km drive from the large Turkish city of Antalya.

Hasankeyf (in Batman)


Hasankeyf is one of the most popular spots in Turkey. Located in the southeastern city of Batman, Hasankeyf hosts ancient cave houses, castles, one mosque,a tomb, a cemetery and a huge castle which is being excavated as of today. Hasankeyf is also well-known for the fact that after certain dam constructions in the region are completed, Hasankeyf will be floaded and won’t be available for visits.
You should definitely see some of the cave houses, some of which are still inhabited by local families today; and go up the hill to enjoy the view of the neighbouring mighyt Tigris river. You should also see the minaret which reflects the typical architecture of the region.
